Stanza 1

shri anjaneyam prasannanjaneyam.
prabhadivyakayam prakirti pradayam
bhaje vayuputram bhaje valagatram bhajeham pavitram
bhaje suryamitram bhaje rudrarupam
bhaje brahmatejam batanchun prabhatambu
sayantramun ninamasankirtanal jesi
ni rupu varninchi nimida ne dandakam bokkatin jeya
ni murtigavinchi nisundaram benchi ni dasadasundavai
ramabhaktundanai ninnu negolchedan
ni katakshambunan juchite vedukal chesite
na moralinchite nannu rakshinchite

Meaning: Oh Lord Anjaneya, the son of Anjani, you are the brightness itself; Your body is shimmering with luster; You are a bestowed celebrated Almighty. We hail thee! The son of Vayu (wind); We hail thee! The strong-tailed; We Hail Thee! You are the Holiness. We praise thee! You are the friend of the Sun; We hail thee! You are in the form of Rudra, the remover of all ills; We hail thee! You are glittering with chastity (Brahmam); I praise all your attributes; At day and evening, I recite your multi-various names with devotion; I describe your appearance & form with affection; I recite this Dandakam with devotion; I adore your form and am devoted to your magnificence; I am the servant of your servants, and like yourself, I am also a devotee of Sri Rama; I am always in eternal awe of your activities. Please listen to my ardent prayers and protect me.

Stanza 2

anjanadevi garbhanvaya deva.
ninnencha nenentavadan
dayashalivai juchiyun datavai brochiyun
daggaran nilchiyun dolli sugrivukun-mantrivai
svami karyarthamai yegi
shrirama saumitrulam juchi varinvicharinchi
sarveshu bujinchi yabbhanujum bantu gavinchi
valinin jampinchi kakutthsa tilakun kripadrishti vikshinchi
kishkindhaketenchi shrirama karyarthamai lanka ketenchiyun
lankinin jampiyun lankanun galchiyun
yabhbhumijam juchi yanandamuppongi yayungarambichchi
yaratnamun dechchi shriramunakunnichchi santoshamunjesi

Meaning: I pray to you, the Son of Anjani and Vayu. In your holy presence, how small I am! Please shower your kindness on me and protect me, my Lord; You were near Sugriva (the king) as his advisor and minister; As instructed by Sugriva, you have taken the holy mission of finding Sita (Sri Rama’s wife) at the behest of Sri Rama and Sri Lakshmana; You have prayed to Lord Shiva and undertook the task as the servant of Sri Rama; Vaali, the brother of Sugriva had died due to his misdeeds. Sri Rama, belonging to the Kakutsa dynasty (one of the forefathers of Sri Rama), had killed Vaali; After Vaali’s demise, you left Kishkintha, the kingdom of Sugriva to undertake Sri Rama’s mission, and reached Lanka. At Sri Lanka you had killed the demoness named Lankini (the watch ward at Sri Lanka); You had gutted the Lankan city with fire; you saw the daughter of the earth (Bhoomi Putri), Sri Sita Devi, you got ecstatic, you gave Sri Rama’s ring to Sri Sita and got the hair ornament named Çhoodamani from her, traveled by air, reached Sri Rama and told him of Sri Sita’s presence and made him happy with the news of Sri Sita.

Stanza 3

sugrivunin yangadun jambavantu nnalunnilulan gudi.
yasetuvun dati vanarulmukalai penmukalai
yadaityulan drunchaga ravanundanta kalagni rudrunduga vachchi
brahmandamainatti ya shaktininvaichi yalakshanun murchhanondimpaganappude nivu
sanjivinindechchi saumitrikinnichchi pranambu rakshimpaga

Meaning: Oh, Lord! At the behest of Sri Rama & Sri Lakshmana and for helping them to retrieve Sri Sita (Rama Karyam) Sugriva, Jambavantha, Angada and Neela, the mighty warriors had constructed the bridge on the Setu Samudra (ocean) to reach Lanka. The warriors of Sugriva, the Vanara Sainyam had crossed over the bridge and killed the demons in Lanka. On learning this, Ravanasura, the king of Lanka, wild with fury, applied the mighty ‘Shakthi Paana’ weapon on Lakshmana which impact made Lakshmana unconscious. On seeing Lakshmana unconscious, you have lifted and brought the Sanjivini Parvatha, the healing hill, provided healing therapy to Sri Lakshmana, and brought him back to life.

kumbhakarnadula nvirulam bora shrirama banagni.
varandarin ravanun jampaga nanta lokambu lanandamai yunda
navvelanu nvibhishunun vedukan dodukan vachchi pattabhishekambu cheyinchi,
sitamahadevinin dechchi shriramukunnichchi,
yantannayodhyapurinjochchi pattabhishekambu sanrambhamaiyunna
nikanna nakevvarun gurmi leranchu manninchi shriramabhakta prashastambuga

Meaning: Demons such as Kumbakarna (one of the brothers of Ravana) were killed in the battle. The powerful weapon (Bana) of Sri Rama brought the death of Ravana, and the World had rejoiced in this. Vibhishana, another brother of Ravana, was made the king of Lanka. You have brought Sri Sita Mahadevi to Sri Rama, and you were instrumental in reuniting them. Immediately on the reunion, Sri Rama Pattabhishekam (taking charge as King) was held at Ayodhya, and you were blissfully present at the occasion. For me, no one is more endearing than you; As an ardent devotee of Rama let all my sins, sorrows, and problems disappear.

Stanza 5

ninnu sevinchi ni kirtanal chesinan papamullbayune bhayamulun.
dirune bhagyamul galgune sanrajyamul galgu sampattulun kalguno
vanarakara yobhakta mandara yopunya sanchara yodhira yovira
nive samastambuga noppi yataraka Brahma mantrambu pathiyinchuchun sthirammugan

Meaning: My total surrender and devotion to you; Chanting poems praising you remove my fears; Grant me boons; Bless me with my kingdom where I can rule; Enable wealth. Your divine person is in the form of Vanara (Monkey); You are filled with your ardent devotion to Sri Rama; You are the embodiment of all virtues and their benefits; You are courageous; You are a warrior.

You are entirely and continuously absorbed in chanting the eternally liberating Rama Nama which is called the Taraka Brahma Mantra.

Stanza 6

vajradehambunun dalchi shrirama shriramayanchun manahputamaina eppudun tappakan.
talatuna jihvayandundi ni dirghadehammu trailokya sancharivai rama
namankitadhyanivai brahmatejambunan raudranijvala

Meaning: Your holy person is as strong as a Diamond, and you always keep thinking devoutly about the excellent and everlasting Sri Rama Nama; You are capable of traveling to three worlds with your marvelous fine form. You meditate on Rama Nama, and due to this you are endowed with ever-glittering chastity (Brahmam), and you are a mighty ferocious warrior.

Stanza 7

kallola havira hanumanta onkara shabdambulan bhuta pretambulan ben.
pishachambulan shakini dhakinityadulan galidayyambulan
nidu valambunan jutti nelambadam gotti nimushti ghatambulan
bahudandambulan romakhandambulan drunchi kalagni
rudrundavai nivu brahmaprabhabhasitambaina nidivya tejambunun juchi

Meaning: You are the warrior who dispels chaos. You are sacred like the sound of ‘OM’ and you destroy the demons, devils, and ghosts like Sakini and Dhakini by rolling them with your sacred tail and dumping them on the ground; You land blows on them with your fists and magnificent arms. You break them into pieces with your hair blades; You appear like the fire-spewing Lord Shiva, the ferocious Almighty at the time of evil destruction; I see your glowing and bright form which is eternal.

Stanza 8

rarori namuddu narasinha yanchun dayadrishti.
vikshinchi nannelu nasvamiyo yanjaneya
namaste sada brahmachari
namaste namovayuputra namaste namah

Meaning: Oh Lord, please come to me like my beloved Narasimha (who appeared for Prahalada) and be present with me; Please bestow your benevolent eyes on me; Please embrace me Oh Anjaneya Swami; My humble salutations to you, the eternal Brahmachari; My humble salutations to you, Oh Vayu Putra!! Sarvam Anjaneya mayam!!
